Behavioral Health
Hippos worked with market-disrupter Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE), building and executing a marketing communication program that established the organization with payers, providers, patients, parents, and investors. Our efforts helped BHCOE forge a bold path in the autism therapy field as a technology and data-driven pioneer in developing quality standards for care, as an accreditor and in defining value-based contracts for services in partnership with payers. Hippos created the go-to-market messaging and marcom strategy for BHCOE and its products, made deal and collaboration announcements, launched new product and service offerings, developed thought leadership, its annual report, and CEO communications. Health Equity

Community Health Improvement and Population Health
Hippos has been a leader in building the community health improvement movement through its collaboration with the American Hospital Association the AHA Center for Health Innovation (ACHI) and the Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET). With grant funding, Hippos partnered with AHA’s Population Health team to develop a six-part curriculum to foster community health improvement partnerships across the US. We authored instructional modules, exercises, frameworks and workbooks to help participants gain the skills and knowledge to work together, bridging the gap between hospitals and community health organizations. This curriculum has strengthened the efforts of countless partnerships between hospitals, health systems, public health departments, and community organizations in addressing social drivers of health and inequity. A catalog of visual case studies for digital sharing created the catalyst for a social media campaign by AHA to spread the movement. Sustainability
Hippos helped The Joint Commission step out as a first mover in advocating for healthcare sustainability. We supported the organization in introducing the first-ever Sustainable Healthcare Certification (SHC) for hospital and critical access hospitals. The voluntary certification recognizes and celebrates organizations for their environmental sustainability improvements. Hippos developed the messaging strategy and executed this fully integrated marketing campaign, including paid, earned, owned, and shared components. The strategy made a compelling case for change and certification by focusing on the short- and long-term benefits of decarbonizing the healthcare industry.
